Good day all the Gaia Bloggers, and may your journey through 2009 run smoothly.
I am honest in telling you that I find it very hard to give money. In South Africa, we have these black street children always begging for money. I used to give them money to buy food (for that is what they ask the money for), but read in our local newspapers that they buy glue and sniff the glue all day long.
Someone else told me that the parents send the children out to the streets to beg for money to enable the parents to buy liquor.
Nowadays when someone asks me for money, I am to skeptical to give.

Being alive, healthy and sane. It could help a lot if I could win the lottery, and add "wealth" too.

I am sorry to say, but until now I could not find it. I do not know what "sacred" actually/really means. All I know I have respect for my naked body and would not allow anyone to abuse my body. (Except medical practitioners, to examine me, of course).

As soon as I wake up in the morning at 05h00 whilst drinking my coffee. I work out my routine and tasks for the day. Look at my calendar to see who's birthday it may be today and make a note of it. It is not so time consuming when you work out your routine for the day, but some days it might not work out the way you wanted it to be.
It makes it so more interesting then, even if it was a hectic day.

I agree with Veronica Lynne I would prefer to be spiritual than religious. All the different kinds of religions are very confusing, and sometime it seems rather like a money making racket than anything else. I may be wrong, but that is my perception about the various religions.

I am not a miser, but I love to keep my money in my "pocket". Everybody else out there is trying to get your money in their "pockets." (Trying to sell unnecessary goods, charity, souvenirs, door to door sales etc.)

Why do we have negative opposites to everything in life? Why do we have an opposite to "love, peace, beautiful, truth, calm and happiness" etc.?

If I could only be more patient. Oh, my word, I am really very impatient. My colleagues tell me to count to 10, but even before I have started counting, I have said things that I regret later on when I am calm. It would help a lot if I could see into the future, trying to avoid certain situations. Ha, ha, I think it is one lesson that I have to learn in my lifetime, but it seems to me it is going to take a lifetime. He, he. Please note that I am not proud about it.

When circumstances and situations are not going the way it should, and I start to fear, I quietly say the following.
1. Be quiet and stay calm.
2. God is in control.
3. Problems have the tendencies to sort themselves out.
4. Everything works for the best to those who believe.
5. Be still and know that I am God.
6. Do not panic.

Nowhere. In South Africa there is no, but no place where you can feel free. My husband's cousin, a 72 year old lady, was beaten to death with a stone alongside her late husband's grave on Sunday morning after a church service. Our local newspaper warns all the parents to do not allow their children to walk to school alone.

I would like to know when I could understand that a negative problem at the present moment, is actually a blessing in disguise for the future. Also why is a baby born only to die within 6 months?

Definitely not. My experience through life thus-far showed me that nothing is actually getting better in the world. It is a case of "scared of dying, but not keen on living either." (forever).

When my husband did not feel well and the circus was in town. It was a rainy day a few years ago. I so badly wanted to go to the circus, but my husband did not feel well after we had supper. Not even after I gave him medicine did he feel better.
So we had an argument, because I blamed him for spoiling our evening.
The next day I saw photographs of the circus fiasco in our local paper.
A gust of wind was the reason for the circus' tent to collapse on top of the spectators, and several people were badly injured. Two toddlers died in the incident.
I really felt bad reading the article, but I also heaved a sigh of relief.

My stomach. I get this "gut feeling" immediately accompanied by a kind of awareness and also the little voice warning me. It can be confusing sometimes.

No, not that I can recall, but my late mother used to tell us about her dreams that she had which were bothering her. By golly, and did they come true. The first thing I used to say to her after we greeted each other was, "please don't tell me about the dream you had recently, except the winning horse's name", which, by the way she was very good at. Those were the days when my husband and I were backing winning horses in horseracing. Ha, ha.
