What do you have the hardest time giving?

Posted on Jan 5th, 2009 by Winnie : Mrs Winnie
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 05, 2009:

Good day all the Gaia Bloggers, and may your journey through 2009 run smoothly.
I am honest in telling you that I find it very hard to give money.  In South Africa, we have these black street children always begging for money.  I used to give them money to buy food (for that is what they ask the money for), but read in our local newspapers that they buy glue and sniff the glue all day long.
Someone else told me that the parents send the children out to the streets to beg for money to enable the parents to buy liquor.
Nowadays when someone asks me for money, I am to skeptical to give.

Then, dear Nettie, give them not the money itself, but go yourself and buy for these children the food they claim to require.

If on reciept of said food they act negativley; without thanks for it is not what they REALLY wanted, keep it for some one who DOES need it…or have it for your own lunch!

Same thing happens in America with all races. I agree with Drunk without Wine - Do the service directly. If they are hungry - feed them. You’ll know where your resources (the food) went. One must be discerning at all times.

I do not give money so readily either. There are conditions on the resources that I give.
