This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 20, 2009:
I used to be well-built and pretty when I was young, but now there is no best thing about being me for now I feel like a "secondhand Rose." I am grumpy, impatient, a racist and always in a hurry. Don't ask me to change, for then I am not Me anymore.

Help

Oh, Nettie, how us mighty have drooped. I think when all the shiny new stuff gets worn away, it's the stronger stuff we are built of that prevails. The inner core that holds us together is what ultimately defines us. Of course, I would not turn down a full body lift. I don't know, is it worth the discomfort? I don't think so. Thanks.
Lifes t'n'ts can certainly have an effect on us. It's good to know that we are loved just the way we are, friend.
Perhaps I aught not be laughing right now, but each time I read your post I laugh a little harder. The person in the office next door thinks I'm a friggen nut job because I'm constantly bursting out in random acts of laughter!
